Simon has over three decades of experience in the B2B business publishing and market intelligence fields, spanning the food and beverage, beauty and personal care, and natural product industries.
As the Founder of Pitman Comms, Simon provides a one-stop-shop for the content needs of every type of business in the spaces we serve. Heading the team up to oversee every aspect of the content we produce, Simon ensures that Pitman Comms goes that extra step, providing content that matches clients, while guaranteeing the very highest quality content is delivered in a timely fashion.
Caroline Macdonald – Food and nutrition content
Caroline has a wealth of experience writing about food ingredients, nutrition, science and technology that bring innovation to meals and snacks around the world. Her expertise encompasses market trends and technical developments in Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia.
She has covered the global food and nutraceutical industries for nearly two decades, having worked as a Senior Editor at William Reed, publisher of Nutraingredients.com and Foodnavigator.com. More recently Caroline has established herself as a leading freelancer in the food and nutrition space.
Ryan Nelson – Science and business content
Ryan has been covering the global life sciences space for 20 years, most recently as Editor-in-Chief of HBW Insight, providing news on consumer health, beauty and wellness, and Medtech Insight, serving the medical device industry. Previously he headed The Rose Sheet, focused on cosmetics policy, regulatory and legal issues, business news and market trends.
He has written extensively on the challenges facing cosmetics and natural product marketers related to both US and EU regulations and mounting sustainability requirements worldwide, as well as the opportunities represented by big data, artificial intelligence, VR/AR, and other emerging technologies. As a freelancer, Ryan has helped to craft marketing and PR communications for digital solutions and food advertising agencies.
Will Chu – Nutrition, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology content
As a seasoned editor and writer, Will has extensive experience in content creation for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and nutrition sectors in Europe and the US. Holding a BSc in Biological Sciences and an MA in Print Journalism, Will combines scientific expertise with storytelling to produce impactful content. Latterly she has pivoted her career towards providing copy writing, strategy and trend consultations for leading beauty brands.
Emma's work with brands has produced impactful communication campaigns and content across both print and digital platforms. With over 20 years of experience in the cosmetics sector, she was Group Editor at Cosmetics Business, before leading the health and beauty division at the Soil Association, increasing visibility for organic brands with consumers and retailers.
Mel Constantinou – Data analytics and digital content creation
With an analytical science background and 10+ years of experience in various fields of digital marketing, Mel can ensure that the uncertainty in marketing content strategy is kept to a minimum. Tony Kokkinos has over 20 years’ experience as an editor and supervisory analyst for leading global banks in both London and Sydney. He reviewed equity, economics and ESG investment reports for quality and commerciality, while ensuring compliance with regulations and company risk levels.
Building on expertise in analysis and communications, Tony has shifted his focus to sustainability and environmental issues. He recently helped a UK LED lighting company by authoring a sustainability report outlining its circular economy initiatives. He has qualified as a Carbon Reporting Manager at the Chartered Management Institute, as a Climate Reality Leader for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project and as Carbon Literate with the Carbon Literacy Project.
